About SinBeRISE
The SinBeRISE program, funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore is headed by Professor Connie Change-Hasnain, is a focused research institute within the Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore (BEARS) that seeks to address the science and technology of renewable energy. The Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore (BEARS) is a center for research, graduate education, and innovation. BEARS was established in 2011 by the University of California, Berkeley as a non-profit company.
Specifically, the program explores novel, inexpensive approaches to convert solar energy into electrical energy (Photovoltaics) and to catalyze the conversion of CO2 into liquid fuel (Photoelectrochemical cells).
The program is a collaboration between the University of California, Berkeley, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.
